BankInfoSecurity.com and CUInfoSecurity.com are all about information security content, and specifically information security content geared toward the finance industry. We cover a range of topics mostly concerning compliance issues; such as GLBA, PCI, SOX compliance, authentication, identity theft and other issues financial institutions must deal with when it comes to information security.
The typical user on our site is a senior officer at a bank or credit union, responsible for some aspect of that institution's information security program. Sample title selects from our users would contain CIO, CISO, Information Security Officer, Audit/Compliance Officer, VP of Information Security, Network Manager, IT Director, CEO, COO, and CFO. These are people responsible for dealing with auditors and examiners who come in to their institution to assess their information security programs. As of this story's publication, we have over 45,000 registered users -- mostly upper management at banks and credits unions responsible for information security functions.
Our content is what sets us apart from other publications that provide information security/finance news and education. One section that really stands out from the crowd is our webinars section. We actually produce our own in-depth webinars, or online workshops, which go to a much deeper level than most webinars. At anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours, these presentations focus on how-to and offer valuable information from practitioners and regulators alike on topics that are important to the average information security officer. These "premium webinars" require users to pay to attend, which only highlights the value of our content to our users.
We also offer vendors many opportunities to showcase their products and services to our users and become aligned with certain topics. We host lead-generation campaigns for white paper postings, vendor-sponsored webinars and podcast interviews. Sponsors also have an excellent branding opportunity by getting involved in enews sponsorships, banner ads, and topic sponsorships.
When information security practitioners at banks, credit unions and other financial institutions think about research on regulatory compliance issues, they think about BankInfoSecurity.com and CUInfoSecurity.com. Because we are able to offer un-biased, worthwhile content on the issues that most affect them, our audience has continued to expand.
